            As a pharmacist, Dr. Rachel McClain was concerned about what was being put into her body. After becoming a mother, she became invested in studying the products she was choosing for her children and was shocked with the toxins she discovered in the personal  are products that people are using every single day. Dr. McClain knew there was a better way, and began exploring how she could formulate the products people love without the chemicals existing companies were using.
           Her approach to natural skincare was one from a pharmacodynamic perspective. Pharmacodynamics is the study of a drug's molecular, biochemical, and physiologic effects or actions. That essentially means that she studied what the  biochemical and physiological effects that the natural herbs, spices, oils and butters had on the body before recommending its use to others. Many drugs have been birthed through the study of the chemical structure of natural herbs and spices.  PUAH is the game changer to skincare.
